Milad-e-Mustafa peace be upon him


In connection with the celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him), a gathering of Milad-e-Mustafa (peace be upon him) was held at Government College Women University, Faisalabad under collaboration of the Directorate of Student Affairs and the Department of Islamic Studies GCWUF. The event was presided over by the Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, while Special Adviser to Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mashal Hussain Mullik, and Commissioner Faisalabad Silwat Saeed were the special guests. A large number of members from Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ex faculty and staff members, university alumni, Coordinators of all faculties, heads of all teaching departments, faculty members, and students in great number attended the gathering. The students presented Naat and drood-o-salaam to the Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH. On this occasion, Mashal Hussain Mullik, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister, prayed for peace and stability in Kashmir while condemning Indian atrocities on Muslims in Kashmir. She strongly condemned recent murder of Sikh leaders in Canada. Appreciating Justin Trudeau's admonition to India on violating rules of the foreign offices, she remarked that the incident has unmasked the real face of Modi government behind exercising terrorism within and outside the state. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) declared the acquisition of education as an equal duty for men and women so that they can participate equally in the development of society. She said that the life of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is a beacon for people from all walks of life.
